A new website for a German roofing company, with an AI chat assistant and a voice receptionist
Company website in German and English for a roofing company in Berlin: 72 pages, services explained in detail, real photos from job sites, an enquiry form and Lena, the chat assistant who answers customers and takes their quote requests. The old website was infected; we cleaned it up and replaced it with a new, secure one.
ATLAS Dachdecker GmbH is a master roofing company (Dachdeckermeister) in Berlin, working across Berlin and Brandenburg and nationwide on larger projects: pitched and flat roofs, carpentry, loft conversions, metal roofs, asbestos removal under the TRGS 519 rules, industrial and agricultural buildings, facades, roof drainage and solar panels.
The old website was infected with a script that tried to attack visitors' computers. We first cleaned it up carefully, so the company stopped putting its customers at risk, then built a new website from scratch on our own servers and kept only the good texts and photos.
The client picked the visual direction from three concepts and sent us the structure they wanted: a short home page, a page for every service, galleries with real photos from job sites and a page of useful links. Older photos were recovered from archives, and the team's new photos were edited and placed on each service.
Lena, the company's digital assistant, now works on the website: she answers visitors in German, English, Polish and Turkish, accepts photos of the roof and describes them, takes quote and callback requests and sends them straight to the company's inbox. We also prepared a voice receptionist with the same Lena, which the client tested with a real storm damage case.
What needed to be solved.
- !An infected website that put visitors and the company at risk
- !Very little text, and almost all photos were missing from the site
- !Customers in Germany and abroad: the site also had to exist in English
- !A master roofer working on site cannot always answer the phone and messages
- !Moving without losing the search engine rankings and without touching the company's email
